Our Commitment
AgenticED builds its products to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
The Department of Justice's rule under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act adopts WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the standard for state and local government web content and mobile apps, which is the standard our districts are held to. WCAG 2.2 adds requirements for visible keyboard focus and for the size of tap and click targets, both of which matter for students with motor disabilities and for anyone using a phone. Building to 2.2 sets our target above the standard districts must meet.
Our vendor certification program holds third-party agents to the same WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard.
District Obligations and Deadlines
Districts are bound by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Title II of the ADA, and, where federal funds are involved in procurement, Section 508. A district that buys technology that is not accessible keeps its own obligation to the students and families who use it.
An interim final rule effective April 20, 2026 moved the DOJ rule's compliance dates out by one year:
| Public entity | Compliance date |
|---|---|
| Serving a population of 50,000 or more | April 26, 2027 |
| Serving fewer than 50,000, and special district governments | April 26, 2028 |
Many school districts are special district governments, which places them on the later date. A district should confirm its own classification, and the DOJ has said that population is measured by census population, not enrollment.
How We Build and Test
Design rules. Our interfaces are built with semantic structure and headings, keyboard operation, visible focus, labeled form controls, error identification and description, color contrast that meets Level AA, and target sizes that meet WCAG 2.2.
Keyboard and focus tests. In our administrative consoles, automated tests confirm that dialogs and panels can be operated with a keyboard alone, that focus stays inside an open dialog, and that focus returns to the control that opened it.
Automated checks in certification. Our vendor certification assessment renders each agent's screens in a real browser and checks them with axe-core. A screen that fails to render is reported as needing review, so it cannot pass by producing no findings.
Thirteen languages. Our products are available in thirteen languages, and release checks stop a release when a language's coverage falls short. Language is not a WCAG criterion, but for the families we serve a product they cannot read is a product they cannot use.
Text read aloud. Our products can read text aloud, which helps people who find reading difficult. They do not listen, and nothing is recorded.
Conformance Status
We build and test toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We have not yet completed a full conformance audit, so we do not claim full conformance. Automated testing finds only part of accessibility problems. It cannot judge whether alternative text is meaningful, whether reading order makes sense, whether a custom control behaves as a screen reader user expects, or whether an error message tells someone what to do. A conformance claim requires manual evaluation against every applicable success criterion.
Known Limitations
- We have not yet published an Accessibility Conformance Report (VPAT).
- PDF documents our products generate, such as prepared benefit applications and reports, have not yet been reviewed for accessible tagging. If you need one of these documents in another format, ask and we will provide it.
- Third-party certified agents are assessed for accessibility during certification, but we do not control their screens.
Tell Us When Something Does Not Work
If any part of our products is not usable for you, we want to know, and we will treat it as a defect.
Email: support@agenticed.com, with "Accessibility" in the subject line
Mail: AgenticED, Inc., Attn: Accessibility, 240 West 136th Street, New York, NY 10030
Please tell us what you were trying to do, where, and the assistive technology you were using, if any. You do not need to use technical language or name a WCAG criterion.
We will acknowledge your report within two business days, and within ten business days we will tell you what we found and when we will fix it. If a fix will take longer, we will say so and offer another way to get what you needed in the meantime.
If you need information from our platform in an alternative format, ask and we will provide it.
